Manitou Beach/Watrous

Saskaoton is also just an hour drive from Manitou Beach, near the town of Watrous.  Manitou (meaning God Spirit in Cree) Lake is famed for its healing powers.  Fed by underground springs, the lake has a high concentration of dissolved salts and minerals.  The added density greatly enhances buoyancy and makes it impossible for people to sink.
